Discussing his life story can be very interesting once you start reading, Bukhatir was born in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and several years of his childhood were spent in learning ‘Tajwid’ (the rules of reciting Qur’an) from an Islamic center in Sharjah. Starting from his school days, in 1980 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE) – he had been a student with quite a soft heart and caring nature helping his fellow mates and friends. His peaceful nature can be estimated by his act of helping a class fellow who was made to sit in the corner by the teacher.  In order to help his classmate, he misbehaved with the teacher and made up a chance to sit next to the boy. He chose his singing as a profession at the age of 20 and his first album was published in 2000 named as “Entasaf Al-Layl”. One of the prime reasons behind his worth hearing nasheeds being mesmerizing and comforting is the honesty and sincerity in his nature, and therefore all his nasheeds carry a message of peace of prosperity among his fans. Since the beginning, all his efforts are in bestowing his fans with simple and peaceful songs.

In the past few years, Anasheed’s relying historic as well as religious values and sentiments are getting high on demands. Therefore, various artists and singers are continuing with their practice by digital remixing and remaking of Anasheed’s and songs. Among the earliest and still remembered nasheeds lies “Tala Al Badru Alayna (the full moon appeared over us)” which was sung for more than 1400 years ago on the arrival of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). It was a beautifully sung Anasheed solely played on the tune of drums since other musical instruments are not allowed in the case of Islamic songs. Lists of fatwa’s have been delivered against the permission of non-percussion instruments in Anasheed’s.

It is believed that women should not sing Anasheed since this is an act of nakedness or an intimate feature that must be kept away from the public according to some scholars. However, Bukhatir has a completely different concept about these beliefs. He trusts and strongly believes that any of the musical instruments being halal according to Islamic Sharia law is not sure hence, his Anasheed’s are just based on his voice. He sings in a unique way by using various ranges of his voice remixed to make a backing choir in his nasheed.  Though many people, in the beginning, believed his voice to be nasal and noisy however he never thought of backing off. In fact, his career reached the peaks of success in the past 13 years where he published six albums including nasheeds also being sung in English, Arabic and French. One of his famous performances includes one from the Global Peace and Unity event in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2006. It was an event with more than 55000 visitors and one of the largest Muslim multicultural events in Europe.

Recently, he was seen in an interview where he arrived for a chat with that angel smile of him along with a red bag, which carried a strong tea in a freshly brewed coffee pot. While the interview was being held, he kept on cracking jokes and poured tea in a very decent manner. Also, he shared his major motto of life being the reason of people’s laughs and smiles. His latest Nasheed is also dedicated to our beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H) known as “Prophet of Peace” written by the Vice President and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Muhammad Bin Rashid. Most of his nasheeds are dedicated to mothers, handicapped or underprivileged people and the sacred relationships between a husband and wife. Nowadays, he is planning to go and try his luck in the United States of America by singing and interacting with people.

Moreover, his talented skills made him to be a regular judge on the annual competition of the best nasheed singer in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE) known as “Monshed Al Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).” According to Bukhatir, this competition is the Islamic version of Arab Idol, however, it is far harder. He further included the importance of voice being pure enough to touch people’s heart and complex enough to create an interest in the mind of listeners. Also, he has a family business that is one of his interests in leisure time. At a time when he is not singing, he also prefers doing charity work. He has been an active participant in many charity events along with the Muslim Aid 25th Anniversary Event held in London, United Kingdom (UK), in 2010.

His newly developed interest nowadays is reading books. Whereas the facts and figures about him clearly define that he has never read a book except for the Qur’an since 2010. This new interest developed after he watched an animated movie “How to Train your Dragon” while he was travelling to Canada.  The movie is based on the book by same name “How to train your Dragon” by Cressida Cowell in 2003. Acknowledging its adaptation from the book, interest started to develop in Bukhatir regarding books and novels. Later on, Bukhatir finally wrote his book and published it. He named it “Dragon Boy and the Witches of Galza”, released in English by Xlibris. This book of him is the first in the series of his books. His plans are appropriate for writing further books and carrying on with the newly developed interest in him however it depends on the response of his fans. It is one of his greatest wishes if his fans like and appreciate this writer-version of Bukhatir. In one of his interviews, he says about the book, “From waking up as a dragon, to butter baby fairies, to facing mystical creatures and challenges, the book has a bit of everything, and I hope the public likes it”. However, he has no plans of stepping back from writing yet the response from his fans is of great importance. Also, he has planned to release an Arabic version of his book soon along with all of his published books, this year. His experience of writing the book was worth trying according to him, and he enjoyed writing “Dragon Boy and the Witches of Galza”. Moreover, he kept sharing his experience in numerous interviews about the complete phase of writing this new book.

He is the father of four children, and two of them are sometimes featured in his videos. All the videos to his ever-released Anasheed’s are available on YouTube. For him, his profession means the world to him, and he loves to make people relax and smile. This is a true blessing for him to have such a great job of pleasing Allah, the Almighty and his beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H). Bukhatir has always been one of the best Anasheed singers in the world, and he is no doubt an inspiration to everyone. For this reason, he is the only Anasheed singer from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to ever be on top of the Virgin Music Chart.
